Growth is a decision. While it’s easy for some to save, it’s easier for me to spend! In 2013, I began challenging myself to stick to a savings plan. Here it is, 2019, and I’m still going strong! And I want to encourage you to do it, too! Although I’m a big spender, I’m also a big giver and I love challenging myself to give more. My kids always ask me how I seem to have so much and I tell them it’s because I give so much! My hands and heart are always open to sow! No bragging, just being REAL! I saw my parents give BIG and even to this day they are huge givers! Recently I was home (Indiana) and I witnessed my mama tip the waitress 75% of the bill. She is NOT rich but the glow on mom’s face when she gives is priceless! This year I decided to try something new by beginning to invest! My husband and I have someone who has done our investing for years but I want to learn to do this for myself. Leaving an inheritance for my grandkids is extremely important to me. I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle Singletary, an investment guru, many years ago, she’s a member of my friend’s church (Lady Trina Jenkins). Read her books and follow her on Twitter, she’s good!!! I am sharing all of this to say that it’s time to grow! Grow your vision for yourself and your family! Think Big! Live your life with purpose! Increase your knowledge and expand your dreams! I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some wealthy people in my lifetime and now I’m ready to follow suit! It starts with a mindset and DISCIPLINE! You could not have told me that I could save like I’ve done over the past 7 years! It may be small in your eyes, but this is HUGE for me! I want to challenge you to start where you are! Save, Sow, Shrink debt & Spend (wisely).
“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the sinner’s wealth is laid up for the righteous.” Proverbs 13:22
“A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich. He who gathers in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame.” (Proverbs 10:4-5)
“Wealth gained hastily will dwindle, but whoever gathers little by little will increase it.” (Proverbs 13:11)
