Trust Issues

“‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me (trust me) in this,’ says the LORD Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.’” (Malachi 3:10)

Our greatest downfall in life is that we fail to trust God with EVERYTHING. We trust Him to save us but when it comes to our resources, we can be so skeptical. Don’t just look to be blessed, be a carrier of the blessing: whenever you feel God’s tugging on your heart and Spirit do it! Trust God with your little and believe that He can multiply it.

It floors me when I hear that people think that I’m wealthy. Well, actually, I am because my Daddy is rich! My bank account shows otherwise but the favor that’s on my life is only because I TRUST GOD! I honestly don’t have enough blog space to share with you the miraculous works that God continually does. When I say I literally share my story to give God glory, it’s not just to have some cute saying but it screams truth. There is not a day that I wake up that God’s hand of mercy isn’t upon me and my family. Just recently, my daughter, Jasmine, told me that her friend wanted to attend my Tea Time event and I immediately told her I would pay for it. Jasmine didn’t ask me to pay for it, it was just $10. I don’t know her friend’s finances and don’t care to know I just know that it was placed on my heart to pay for it. I had not paid for anyone’s tickets, not even my daughter’s so when the spirit said to pay it, I said ok. If the ticket had been $100, I would have paid it because I am sensitive to God’s voice. I do recall not too long ago I felt the Lord telling me to sow a $1,000 seed. Now this one I had to take to my husband! While it was out of my own personal money, I had to make sure we were in agreement. He said if God said it, then do it! And I did it! Now, it wasn’t given to someone I particularly cared for, but God said to do it! Since I decided to be obedient, I’m confident that seed money has caused so many miraculous happenings in my life, way too numerous to mention.

When I hear people say they don’t have enough to give because they are barely making it, I say “then what’s the difference, if you broke anyway why not just take a stab at it.” People who always claim to be broke somehow find a way to look good, eat good, and spend their broke money on crazy stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been in their shoes. Shoot, I’m still trying to figure out how I can continue to give big when my financials are not where I want them to be. I trust God and put that on His shoulders. He has never, ever, ever failed me, so I just continue to walk in faith and watch Him supply my every need and a whole lot of my wants. My mama told me that I’m God’s Girl and I’m crazy enough to believe that I’m His favorite. It’s amazing how He has billions upon billions of kids, but He makes each one of us feel like we are His only child. So, trust Him and stop trying to figure it all out! Stop robbing Him, open your hands and heart to give. It’s a principle that’s so hard for so many. While I’m glad I saw the example of giving in my parents and my grandparents, I’m happier that I received the revelation personally, that it is much better to give than to receive. There’s nothing more annoying to me than seeing a greedy hoarder. I’ve seen wealthy people do this quite often and it’s so unattractive. Learn to trust God with your finances, you trust Him with your life, right? That’s more important than money. Stop overthinking and just do what the word of God says.

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35)
