Prayer Works

I want to run from what feels too big and unfixable! I want to run to my closet with two sweet potato pies and a large liter of Pepsi!

Sometimes we can’t change all the stuff in our lives that feels bigger than we can handle. But, whatever feels bigger than you is still very small compared to the God that I serve!

Sunday morning I was getting ready for church and this song came to me and I begin to worship God and cry out to him. The song was entitled “I don’t believe He brought me this far to leave me.” Little did I know that the next morning my daughter would call me saying she’s taking my oldest grand kiss to the hospital because she was having an asthma attack. Many hours later my one-year-old grandson had to have surgery which he is still in the hospital recovering. As I laid down to sleep last night I was in so much pain physically but I heard my husband and some of the brothers from the church praying downstairs in our family room. I couldn’t quite hear what they were saying but I felt the power of the Holy Spirit make His way to my bed of affliction. I believe that all three of us will be better soon!

God is my “refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1, NIV)

Whatever this day holds for you. Please know that there is nothing too big or impossible for our God to handle.

Be encouraged and have a blessed day knowing that God is bigger than any situation we encounter.
